• Fourth floor of historic Flagler College
  • Vaulted dome with skylight
  • Sliding windows on all sides
  • 55 by 50 foot room with maximum capacity of 180

A.D. Davis restored the historic Solarium on the fourth floor of Flagler College in 2013. Last open in 1971, the room’s peeling walls, water damage and beaten woodwork were transformed in this $2.3 million renovation. The centerpiece of the Solarium is the ribbed vaulted rotunda with a skylight at the top supported by eight square columns. Sliding glass windows stream sunlight, brightening the 55×50 square foot room. The circular domed room overlooks the Courtyard as the Terraces offer views of Memorial Presbyterian Church, the town plaza, the Cathedral Basilica, the beaches, and the lighthouse.
