Windows everywhere were the most important design element of this Florida Coastal Style home. The large screen porch opens onto a generous deck so sun or shade are always an option. An oversize elevator to the 2nd floor was designed for mobility challenged guests and for easily moving items into a generous upstairs storage space. Hardwood floors throughout the home were sustainably sourced and manufactured in the USA.
We had heard through the grapevine that A.D. Davis Construction had been building high quality residences since the 1950’s. We were very attracted to the company’s longevity and that Mike Davis has strong ties to the “best of the best” in the building trades. We wanted our custom home built in one year. Mike promised that this would happen, and it did.
A critical part of construction for us was the presence of an on-site Superintendent accountable for the construction of our home. The Superintendent was on the job by 7 a.m. each day managing all aspects of the building process. We honestly cannot imagine building a home of our caliber without someone managing the entire process on a daily basis.
